Dom Pirkko Christian Centers

Russian Christian Radio, together with many other Christian missions and churches in Russia, has organized prison ministries and outreach.  We have also created a network of seven Christian Centers for those prisoners who have been released back into society after serving their time behind bars.

Click here to view a report (in English) from the state-produced television program "Russia Today" about how God transforms the lives of those who live at RCR's "Dom Pirkko" facility near Moscow.

Choose this link to view the story of some of the people that God is changing through RCR's "Dom Pirkko" Christian rehabilitation centers (in Russian).

These Christian Centers have been named in honor of the deceased wife of RCR’s founder, Earl Nikolayevich Poysti.  Her name was Pirkko.  Earl and Pirkko Poysti were privileged to visit one prison in Yegorevsk, Russia before Pirkko passed away in 1995.  Her last Christian service took place in that prison in Yegorevsk, and thus, the vision for prison outreach began for RCR.  As a consequence, RCR’s first “Dom Pirkko” (Pirkko Home) was established in the far northern extremes of the Komi Republic.  These Christian Centers provide spiritual, emotional and material help to those who have completed their prison terms.

Currently, Russian Christian Radio and its local partners operate seven such "Dom Pirkko" Christian Centers throughout Russia.  We are praying that the Lord will provide for us so we can extend this ministry to many other regions, as there is such a great need for this ministry.  Our Christian Centers are located in the following regions:

  -- Emva (Komi Republic)
  -- Nikulino (Tver region)
  -- Istra (Moscow region)
  -- Ust Labinski (Krasnodar region)
  -- Ulyanovsk (Ulyanovski region)
  -- Vladikavkaz (Northern Ossetia Republic)

Please pray along with Russian Christian Radio as we seek to expand our ministry in this area and extend the grace and mercy of God to those who find themselves in prison, as well as those who are trapped in drug and alcohol addiction.
